I am Police Officer new to the kansas city area and was very nervous about my first hair cut in a new place. I’ve had the same haircut for years and was uncertain about what kind of service I would receive. I gave this hairdresser “Ashley “a five star rating not only for her incredibly personable service, but for a haircut that I could not have been more pleased with. She did an exceptional job, not only with the care to my hair she showed, but also her approach to a customer. I will be going back, and would recommend Ashley highly to anyone wanting a proficient barber. She was skilled and quick.

I accidentally assigned my last review here after a bad experience at the Parkville location. The stylists that work here at the North Oak location are fantastic and have always given me a great haircut. They do a wonderful job communicating to be sure they know what you want, and they deliver.

I hate to leave a bad review, since my first experience with Cassidy was amazing! (5 Stars!) But my second experience was awful. Cassidy’s wait was an hour and a half and given my first experience went so well, I took the risk of clicking on next availability. My hairstylist greated me with no emotion whatsoever. She did not speak to me the entire time except for length and asked if I wanted layers. Did not ask the texture of my hair and began dowsing it in water. I have curly hair so I knew, this would be a rough process trying to cut it straight. She cut my hair very choppy and barely cut my left side. It was noticeably shorter and when I mentioned it, she defended herself saying it’s because my hair dried from her spraying it. But when curly hair dries it becomes shorter, so it still being noticeably longer, while dry and curly should explain well enough how long it was on this side. She chopped a few more pieces off and asked if it was fine now. I said yes to immediately get out of there. It was clear she had either no customer service and hair cutting experience or whatever she was dealing with personally was effecting her work. I still tipped her generously, but will never let her touch my hair again. Please see photos for reference.

It’s hard to find someone to who can cut a good fade this isn’t the place they don’t know the difference between high or low. Stylist butchered my hair.
