Overall Experience with California State University - Fresno
Attending California State University - Fresno was a transformative experience for me. The university offered a diverse and vibrant community that enriched my educational journey and personal growth. Here's a detailed account of what I liked and what I think could be improved:
What I Liked:
Community Engagement: Fresno State has a strong focus on community service and engagement. Through various programs, I had the chance to volunteer and contribute to local community projects, which was fulfilling and allowed me to make a positive impact.
What I Would Like to See Change:
Parking: Parking was a significant issue. Finding a spot was often challenging, and the permits were quite expensive. Expanding parking facilities or offering more affordable options would greatly benefit the students.

Personally, I think Fresno State is good if you are a local looking to get through college with little to no debt. Lots of campus life and greek life. Academics are okay. A con is it can be difficult to get the classes you need at the times you want. Online classes are sparsely offered and usually fill up fast. Lots of food on campus and at campus point. You also get a free FAX bus pass with your student ID card. Professors range from mediocre to great. They give a lot of financial aid and parking isn't too expensive which is great! Fresno can get hot and boring though.

My experience at CSUF overall is a 7/10. The campus life is very good. There are a diverse amount of people there. Food court is pretty substantial. The library however is my favorite building. There are different layers to the library and I find myself to be on task when I lock myself in a room to study. Professors are really nice from my experience but I also use the website “RateMyProfessor” to get student opinions who have previously taken their course. I like college at CSUF. I think I should involve myself in more extracurricular activities and maybe my rating would be a bit higher!
